it’s a packed week between XOXO and Burger Week but that’s not gonna stop me. first stop is XLB’s burger bao!

A flat bao, golden brown from a pan sear, on foil with a little ramekin of burger sauce
The bao, bitten into several times to reveal a juicy burger patty still pink in the middle with gooey cheese and caramelized onions

oh, also, verdict: definitely tasty but it had nothing to cut through the richness. it was begging for pickles, and there could be so many interesting options for that in a chinese restaurant!
