Historical perspective on HIV/AIDS
I went to a gallery show + lecture by Janet Delaney (who made my favorite SF photos, South of Market) about public events in the Mission in the 80s (where I live!), but the most striking part was the queer history in it - these ARC/AIDS Vigil protestors in the first MLK Day march, in coalition against apartheid, with their canes - so many young men with canes in her photos. The Vigil was an amazing 10-year protest, but few of us know of it now, fragile history.
