@sigsegv @churl It’s not the fanciest piece of kit, but I certainly got my money’s worth from it — I used it a lot more than I expected! With luck I’ll be able to upgrade to the Proxxon FET that I have my eye on before taking on another project anywhere near this scale…

@sigsegv @churl Haha, if you buy one online you’ll suddenly get all sorts of ads for mini drill presses (for jewelry?), mini lathes (for pens?), etc.

I think dollhouse makers / mini ship builders / etc are the main market for these things? Not sure, I’m still a mid-beginner!

@churl I need to resist the temptation! Once I pick up a set of gouges my next thing is to start learning carving.
